The Rural Access Education Programme celebrated 25 years of impact in rural education at a prestigious event held in Johannesburg recently.
Alumni, donors, friends of the organisation, our esteemed board members and even learners who had travelled from as far as Limpopo joined in paying tribute to the past while looking ahead to the future.
A highlight of the event was watching the winners from our Essay Writing Competition perform their inspirational and heartwarming speeches. It was hard to spot a dry eye in the house as these learners, some as young as 16 years old, stood in front of the audience and spoke about what they saw for themselves in the future.
We would like to thank all of those who attended our 25th Anniversary celebrations, the generous donors and sponsors of both REAP and the event, every staff member, student, alumnus and each individual who has contributed to the 25 years of impact!
